A New Event for Dotonbori Night Park
With the aim of creating new night content in Dotonbori and revitalizing nightlife and tourism in Osaka city, the Dotonbori Night Market “Tonbori Night Market” was held every Friday and Saturday from November 20 to December 26, 2020. (Canceled in December due to the effects of the new coronavirus)
*Held in response to the adoption of the Japan Tourism Agency’s demonstration project “Content Development for Attracting Visitors”.
The Tonbori River Walk, along the Dotonbori River, was lined with stalls selling local delicacies from Naniwa and Osaka, as well as foods from all over Japan, creating a new, winter tradition for visitors to enjoy.
Looking ahead to the post-corona 2025 Osaka Kansai Expo, we aim to create a night park in Dotonbori where tourists and local businesses can interact, beginning with this event.
